Into big, bold walls?

I create wall murals, big art, painted design elements, and painted wallpaper, for locations in the Seattle/PNW area. If you like bold print, organic shape, and color that influences the energy of a space, let's talk about working together.

The Process

First, we’ll chat about your space.

I’ll see or see pictures of your space and its surroundings to get a feel for the flow of the space, light, measurements, and any constraints or quirks to account for. Then, I’ll hear about your wishes—how you want the space to feel, colors you’d love to bring in (and ones you don’t!), and what sorts of imagery and shapes make your, your team, and/or your clients’ brains feel good.

Then, you’ll review a mood board or two.

I’ll share colors, shapes, and any imagery we’d like to pull into the space for your feedback and approval, with an idea of how it could look in the space. My work is freehand so there will be variations in the final outcome, but you will have moments to guide the direction of the final piece into art you adore in your space.

From there, we make things official.

We’ll sign a contract to keep us both safe and excited for the final outcome and we’ll set a painting schedule that works for us both. Payment is 50% at contract signing, 50% on mutually-agreed day of completion.

Two rounds of feedback to make what you love.

As the painting is developed, you’ll receive two rounds of review and changes. Your first review is when the bulk of the base of the mural is done. This is where you can say, “I actually hate that color in this space,” or, “That shape looks kinda like a….” or, “this is missing this specific thing I was really hoping to see,” and we can adjust. You’ll then receive your second round of review when the piece is nearing final. This is where you can say, “from far away, that part looks a little blobby,” or, “can we add an accent here?”. If it’s too out there, I’ll tell you, but I want you to love your space. I’ll then proceed to final touch up and polish.

Then we take pictures, celebrate your space’s new energy, and say, "bye for now!”

The Artist

Hello! I’m Lala Jackson and I am an artist, writer, and marketing strategist based out of Seattle. I love creating spaces with paint—using form, color, and pattern to influence the energy of a space and the people who spend time in it. I love making big art because of how physical and intuitive my work is—while I work based on reference art and mood boards, I paint big abstract art freehand, requiring me to pay careful attention to how color and form are working together.

I also work in fine visual art, where I work through emotions and make sense of how I experience the world. I’ve been chronically ill since I was 10 years old and learned about my neurodivergence in adulthood. I like playing with distorted natural forms—not only how a thing looks, but how it feels in a space. I pull on abstract expressionism, surrealism, and good ol’ throwing paint.

A Seattle transplant, I grew up bouncing around North America and graduated from the University of Miami in Florida with a B.S. in communications focused on advertising, alongside minors in art and art history. My professional life has so far been based out of Miami, Atlanta, New York City, Jersey City, and Seattle. In addition to art and writing, I’ve spent my career in marketing and communications, with the last ten years helming brand strategy, marketing campaigns, and community-centric content for high-impact health nonprofits.

I look forward to speaking with you!
